CLUB DE GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA DE BUENOS AIRES (GEBA) (BUENOS AIRES GYMASTICS AND FENCING CLUB). Once again, we were with the children of one of the oldest clubs in the country, sharing the contents of our sport.

We delivered a two-day seminar, organized by the Department of Sports of San Juan Province, for teachers and organizations relating to outdoor activities and life in nature. July 11, 2008

As from August, the Orienteering Subject continued at the Argentine Army Physical Education Training Program, Lic. Marcelo Rodríguez.


On September 18, an “Orienteering Sport Workshop” was carried out for 24 students of the Teacher Training Program of PERGAMINO city at “La Quinta de Parque San Martín,” Buenos Aires Province, led by Professor Ana María Vázquez, with the support of Lic. Bianchi. The Professor also prepared the map and designed the routes.

We closed the year participating in the FIRST ARGENTINE CONGRESS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORT, LEISURE AND LIFE IN NATURE, organized by the Alumni of the Physical Education Institute of Santa Fe, where we were entrusted to deliver an Introductory Course on Orienteering Sport (with a focus on school activity) on the premises of “EL QUILLA” Club and in the South Park of Santa Fe City. Maps of the club and the part were charted.

2009

We started the year with a “Workshop and Pilot of Mountain Bike Orienteering” (non-competitive), with a large number of participants. It was carried out in EZEIZA, jointly with the authorities of CEDENA, an agency of the National Sports Department. March 31 and April 14: We conducted two workshops, with games of application for cadets in the fourth year of the General San Martin Military School.

On April 9, we went to Mar del Plata to complete a map, with which we will develop a workshop for Physical Education professors at that city.

On April 24, we participated with trainers of the Theoretical and Practical course, with games and techniques for our sport, for 70 teachers in four school districts in Buenos Aires Province, with the presence of eight supervisors, organized by CENADE, an agency of the National Sports Department. The event was publicized on the website of the National Sports Department, www.deportes.gov.ar, under the headline “PROYECTO DE CAMPAMENTOS HACE ESCUELA” (“CAMPING PROJECT CREATES NEW TREND”), on May 15, 2009.

May: UNIVERSIDAD MAIMONIDES, in the “Outdoor Nonconventional sports” subject, shared by Licentiates Alberto Gherardi and M. Rodríguez, Introduction to Orienteering, with two theoretical classes and one practical lesson including a racing event.

The first “MOUNTAIN BIKE ORIENTEERING TEST” (competition) jointly with the authorities of CEDENA, reporting to the NATIONAL SPORTS DEPARTMENT, was scheduled for June 20, but due to bad weather and the pandemic that affected the country, it was rescheduled to August 30.

On June 25, we conducted a one-day event of Orienteering games for Senior Citizens jointly with Licentiate Paula Montes, from the National Sports Department.

July: “TEACHER TRAINING WORKSHOP” on Orienteering Sport for the Physical Education Professors of the National Military School, led by Lic. Marcelo Rodríguez. Two-day seminar, with practical and theoretical courses, introductory exercises and a racing event at its closing.

As from August, the Orienteering Subject continued at the Argentine Army Physical Education Training Program, led by Lic. Marcelo Rodríguez
